After 25 years in financial planning and real estate development, I decided to move into full time mediation in the spring of 1999. Because of my background, I was comfortable mediating general business cases, real estate condemnation cases, contractor- homeowner, and probate and estate issues.

To expand on my opportunities I took a course in Child Protective Services mediation and an opportunity to mediate these cases led me into doing over 100 of theses cases over the years and I became one of the most experienced mediators in this highly specialized field. In 2006, I was awarded by the State of Texas, the Ellis County Family Services Award for outstanding mediation of CPS cases.

I found that I enjoyed the mediation of these family related cases and having gone through a very acrimonious divorce myself, with all the pain that people experience in that, I found myself led into the mediation of divorce cases.

After mediating hundreds of divorce cases, I saw a need to expand this area and now in addition to mediation of Divorces, we offer Divorce Coaching Services. We coach an individual from the day of separation until the judge rules them divorced. This may include no attorneys, one attorney, or two attorneys. In recent years, credit cards have become a major part of the American scene. And many folks have balances of over $10,000. (I am working with a couple who have over $100,000 in credit card debt.) As part of this change, the courts have become inundated with credit card lawsuits. Some courts were overloaded with these credit card lawsuits adding 300 new cases per month, more than any court could handle.

So we began to receive these cases and at the request of the courts mediated as many as ten cases per day. In response to the credit card debt crisis, we have added credit card debt negotiation to our available services.

And finally, I have become a serious Christian and consider my work to be an opportunity for ministry to others.

And I play duplicate bridge and am a life master. My brother and I won a tournament in Tyler recently.  So now you know.
